Hi all,
I am looking for a way to measure thalamic and cortical shift of a corticothalamic connection. I have been working with probtrackx, which gave me the fdt_paths of corticothalamic connection in each group (patients and controls), but I don’t know how to analyze the data in order to show that the resultant tract (fdt_paths) is shifted inside the thalamus (i.e. the fdt_paths in the control group reaches the thalamus rostrally, and the patient’s group it reaches the thalamus caudally). I’ve extracted the local maxima and center of gravity of the fdt_paths inside thalamus and found out that there seems to have a shift between groups, but I don’t know if these results have biological meaning since the fdt_paths talk about probability rather than strength of connectivity.
Does anyone know how to measure cortical and thalamic shift of white matter tracts among different groups?
Thank you in advance!
Theo Marins.
