Population Geography Research Group Sponsored Sessions
RGS-IBG Annual International Conference, London
Tuesday 29 August to Friday 1 September 2017
The Population Geography Research Group invites suggestions for sponsored sessions at the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2017. Professor Sarah Radcliffe is the conference Chair with the theme of ‘‘Decolonizing geographical knowledges: opening geography out to the world: http://www.rgs.org/WhatsOn/ConferencesAndSeminars/Annual+International+Conference/Conference+theme.htm
We welcome any sessions that engage with the conference theme and the broad themes of population geography. This could include, but is not limited to, migration; population transitions; population structures; diversity; inequalities; birth, lives and death; different methodological approaches to understanding population geography. We welcome co-sponsored sessions and any session that utilises a non-traditional format.
If you would like to be considered for sponsorship, please send the following information to Sophie Cranston ([log in to unmask]) by the 9th of January 2017:
- title of proposed session (up to 15 words), name and affiliation of organizers, and abstract of c. 200-300 words
- indication of proposed format (e.g. papers or panel discussion, number of papers, use of discussants; for possibilities of session formats, see:

We will inform session organisers about sponsorship by the 11th of January, ahead of the deadline for submitting sessions to the RGS-IBG on the 17th February 2017.
