Health Economists at Bristol (HEB)’s successful Introduction to Economic Evaluation short course will be running again this spring, 15th to 17th of March 2017 .
Aimed at clinicians, public health specialists and health care researchers, the 3-day introductory course covers the basic principles of health economics and introduces the different approaches used when conducting economic evaluations of health care.
Course participants will experience first-hand the essentials of designing, performing and appraising economic evaluations through the use of a variety of practical exercises. During the course, participants will also be given opportunities to discuss their ongoing research projects.
The Introduction to Economic Evaluation course is taught by an experienced team of health economists at Bristol, who conduct economic evaluations of health technologies across a wide range of clinical settings and areas, using a variety of methodologies.
No previous knowledge of economics, statistics, or software is required. Spaces are limited, early booking is advised.
