GARNet are delighted to announce three new members of the GARNet
Advisory committee whose terms will run from January 2017- December
2019.
The new members are Murray Grant (University of Warwick), Jill Harrison
(University of Bristol) and Daniel Gibbs (University of Birmingham) and
we are delighted that these academics represent a range of experience
levels and work on a broad variety of experimental topics.
We are extremely grateful to all the UK academics who interacted with
the process of nomination and voting. Almost 150 academics voted in the
election which shows that the UK Plant Science community remain
interested in the work that GARNet undertakes to represent their
opinions on a national and international scale. We are also extremely
pleased that from 2017 the GARNet Advisory committee will have a 50:50
gender split.
At the end of 2016 David Salt (University of Nottingham), Nick Harberd
(University of Oxford) and Anthony Dodd (University of Bristol) are
concluding their time on the advisory committee so we are very thankful
for the contributions they have made over the past few years.
Yours,
Geraint Parry
GARNet coordinator
