Dear Colleagues,
Social Analysis is putting out an Open Call for articles and Special Issue submissions that, grounded in original empirical research, critically probe established paradigms of social and cultural analysis. Under the new editorship of Martin Holbraad, the journal’s ambition is to become the natural home for work that explores in original and creative ways the relationship between ethnographic materials and theoretical insight. The emphasis, in other words, is on analysis, understood not so much as a synonym of 'theory', but as the fertile meeting-ground of the empirical and the conceptual.
The Call for Proposals for a Special Issue in 2018 is now open. Proposals should be submitted by the 15th of January 2017. Guidelines on the form and content of the proposals can be found on the Social Analysis webpage (http://journals.berghahnbooks.com/social-analysis/info-for-authors/). For further queries and suggestions please contact Martin Holbraad directly at [log in to unmask]
