Dear everyone,
The European Network for Queer Anthropology (ENQA: https://easaonline.org/networks/enqa/index.shtml) serves as a professional network for academics and scholars who work on sexual and gender diversity from an anthropological perspective. ENQA aims to promote ethnographic research, communication, and teaching on sexual and gender diversity. ENQA also strives to serve the interests of anthropologists who self-identify in terms of non-heteronormative sexualities or genders, however defined, in offering resources, support, and community. ENQA membership is open to anyone scholarly working on and academically engaged with queer issues in a European context.
Over the next two years, ENQA would like to intensify its network functioning to make it more useful for members. One of the ambitions is to establish a mentorship program for ENQA members that will connect young scholars with senior ones, and foster queer anthropology across the different academic environments of Europe. Another is to help members build wider and more effective connections to one another in order to increase the possibilities for creating joint research applications, conferences and workshops, and not least activism and activist research.
In order to realize these ambitions, ENQA needs to have an overview of members that will be the groundwork for future network activities. That's why we would like to ask anyone interested to register for ENQA's member database by the 6th of November 2016. The registration process is rather easy. All you need to do is to send an email titled "ENQA member registration" to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> providing information about the following six items:
Name:
Email:
Institution/Affiliation:
Position/Job:
Academic Degree:
Research Interests (please, just 3-5 keywords):
Thank you for registering, and please spread the word!
The ENQA board
