Dear Mailbase,
We have had an approach from our respiratory physicians who are planning to undertake a study with the objective to determine the right amount of lignocaine to administer during bronchoscopy.
They hope to measure the amount of lignocaine in bronchial secretions that are suctioned during the procedure and concomitantly in a peripheral blood sample.
Do any laboratory provide an assay for Lignocaine?
If so, is measurement feasible in both sample types?
And finally, if feasible, what is the cost per reportable result?
Many thanks
Regards,
Liam Blake
