The University of Cambridge Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) is pleased to announce the Mellon-funded inter-disciplinary course 'Academia meets Industry: creating long-term collaborations'. The course will reflect on academia—industry relationships in the arts, humanities and social sciences with a case study on the contemporary music industry. We have an exciting programme and line-up of speakers, including representatives from Google, the Musicians' Union, the Intellectual Property Office, the Pirate Party and IFPI.
The course is convened by Professor Lionel Bently (Law) and Dr Ananay Aguilar (Music) and offers opportunities to:
* develop problem-solving skills of multi-dimensional, contemporary challenges that can be translated to other problems faced by different sectors of society today;
* meet and work with like-minded colleagues;
* engage with the complexities of the REF's impact agenda;
* hone public engagement skills;
* network with influential industry decision-makers and
* enhance your CV.
