Dear all,
Just a reminder that the 31 October deadline for EAGE award
nominations is all too soon.
The list of available awards is at:
http://www.eage.org/index.php?evp=3350
Of the five that aren't specifically for papers published
in their journals, four require the candidate to be an
EAGE member: honorary membership, Schlumberger,
Wegener and van Weelden. The exception is the
Erasmus award, which is for "outstanding and
lasting achievements in the field of resource exploration
and development". The van Weelden award is for "young professionals",
which is defined as being 35 years old or younger.
Nominators do not need to be EAGE members.
You can submit nominations for all the awards via the
nominations page, http://www.eage.org/index.php?evp=2032
and send nominations to [log in to unmask] . I could not get
the "short nomination form" link on this page to work when
I tried in February, and the EAGE sent me the following
template.
Don't hesitate to ask me (or the EAGE directly, if you are a
member) for help.
Regards,
Sheila Peacock,
BGA awards officer.
