Based in Bristol, we are recruiting for a GIS Service & Support Analyst.
Reporting to the GIS & Data manager within the ICT Department, the successful candidates will be involved in the support and provision of GIS to system users throughout the organisation.
From updating data and day-to-day support of the Corporate GIS (including web mapping system) to being involved in bespoke projects to support operations and automating analyses of complex data; this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to be part of a team that constantly looks to new ways of using GIS and analyses to support the organisation.
The applicants will need to demonstrate good levels of attention to detail, analytical thinking/problem solving and dedication to excellent customer service.
Essential
Experience of using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop10.1 + in business environment:
Good skills in map composition/production & effective data presentation
Awareness /experience of mapping data sets
Experience of working with data from a variety of map projections
Experience of creating accurate data sets, including designing of the supporting database tables
Experience of using ArcGIS for data analysis
Experience of ArcGIS Desktop installation and configuration
Desirable
ArcGIS Server 10.1 + installation & configuration
Python scripting and automating processes
Web GIS production (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, JavaScript API, ESRI UK’s LocalView Fusion, Flex, etc.)
Portal for ArcGIS
ESRI UK LocatorHub; setting up gazetteers and geocoding/rectification
Experience of supporting applications and issue resolution
Release management and system performance monitoring, review & recommendations
Further training for the right candidates will be provided as the team broadens its remit to other data analysis applications used within the organisation.
