RESOURCING A RICH AND VARIED CURRICULUM: CONTENT, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR FURTHER EDUCATION LEARNING RESOURCES SERVICES
The UK Serials Group is hosting a free event to share ideas and new insights into delivering services in a diverse and demanding further education environment. The UKSG www.uksg.org is an organisation spanning the wide range of interests and activities across the scholarly information community of librarians, publishers, intermediaries and technology vendors. This informal gathering will provide a platform for this community to share experiences and innovative ideas for delivering and resourcing library and information services in the further education sector.
Resourcing a rich and varied curriculum: content, knowledge and skills cover key areas and challenges in delivering and developing services to support a wide ranging curriculum and diverse user group. The event will provide delegates with the opportunity to share tips, techniques and strategies that can be integrated into their own service and environment. Examples could include: developing learning resources staff skills, overcoming the challenges of providing services to a diverse student base, the development and delivery on of online support, developing student skills or increasing the usage of electronic resources.
This is an open invitation to those who would like to deliver a presentation, of up to 10 minutes maximum, on an innovative topic in line with this theme.
If you are interested submit your idea for your presentation as a short abstract (circa 150 words), including your name, organisation and contact email to: Elizabeth Newbold [log in to unmask] by Friday 2nd October
