Three years after launching the Books at JSTOR program, the Demand Driven Acquisition (DDA) model has emerged as the preferred method of acquiring ebooks among JSTOR participants. In order to capture best practices across DDA participants and identify what pain points remain, we conducted a global survey that we are eager to share and integrate with local data relevant to our participants in the UK. We'll also share what we've learned about the future of Demand Driven Acquisition, Evidence Based Acquisition, and Open Access models and their impact on library and researcher workflows, and we'll hear unique insights from the library and publishing communities.
Discussion topics include:
* Findings of JSTOR Global and UK Surveys on ebook purchasing and Demand Driven Acquisition
* Open Access ebooks
* Library perspectives and best practices
* Emerging acquisition models
* Publisher insights
