Dear James,
the community does not turn a blind eye. The community has made it possible to
repeat refinement with the program of choice and everyone can make their own
conclusions.
It is important to make end users aware that structures contain errors and can
even be completely wrong. And I think the global players (who often contribute
to this BB etc) have achieved a lot in order to keep the number of erroneous
as small as possible.
