Hi all,
The Natural History Museum is currently advertising a Science Community Coordinator role working on citizen science / crowdsourcing projects at the Natural History Museum. The post-holder will work with Museum scientists and public engagement teams to scope, develop and launch crowdsourcing projects that invite the public to transcribe data from digitised museum specimens using the Notes from Nature platform (on the Zooniverse). The postholder will work to motivate, support and sustain this online community of citizen scientists.
This is part of a wider European project called Synthesys, so the postholder will also be supporting natural history institutions across Europe to crowdsource the digitisation and transcription of their collections too.
Salary: £30,250 per annum plus benefits
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31 August 2017
Closing date: 9am, Friday 19 August 2016
