The University of Derby is seeking to recruit a full time Repository and Open Access Librarian with responsibility for the day-to-day management and administration of UDORA, the University of Derby Online Research Archive. This is a new post, and you will play a key role in supporting and growing the University’s research agenda.
You will be a dynamic, customer-service focused individual who has strong communication skills, interpersonal talents and a keen eye for detail. You will be pro-active, confident and ready to make an instant impact by integrating across the different teams and building positive relationships with our customers and colleagues.
Job purpose
To develop, manage and promote the University’s research repository, including liaison with software suppliers and internal IT Department regarding technical issues.
To facilitate the submission and deposit of the University of Derby’s research data and research outputs.
To monitor and report on deposits, downloads and other usage indicators to identify the impact of the repository outputs.
Apply appropriate metadata standards on an ongoing basis to ensure the quality, consistency and discoverability of research data and research outputs contained in the repository.
Promote and encourage engagement with the repository and Open Access including liaising with the University’s Colleges, Research Office and other stakeholders.

Salary: £25,978 - £28,559 per annum
(Permanent - Full Time)
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Regular evening/weekend duties are required.
