the EAGE has just issued its annual call for awards,
with deadline 31st October.
The list of available awards is at:
Of the five that aren't specifically for papers published
in their journals, four require the candidate to be an
EAGE member: honorary membership, Schlumberger,
Wegener and van Weelden. The exception is the
Erasmus award, which is for "outstanding and
lasting achievements in the field of resource exploration
and development". This year's winner was Anton Ziolkowski
Nominators do not need to be EAGE members.
The van Weelden award is for "young professionals", which
is defined as being 35 years old or younger.
You can submit nominations for all the awards via the
