External examiner for the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies Award, Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing, University of Wolverhampton.
The University of Wolverhampton requires a Module external examiner for the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies degree. This is a full time undergraduate programme with approximately 200 students across the three years. The modules contributing to this degree include a range of academic and professionally related courses including Child Development, International Perspectives in the Early Years, Professional Studies, Development of Curricula Frameworks, Language and Literacy in the Early Years, Tackling Inequality through Interagency Working, and many more.
We are seeking candidates whose areas of expertise would enable him or her to monitor the quality of these modules and externally moderate assessed work. External examiners are required to attend at least one assessment board a year and complete an annual report. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.
The post is for an initial period of 4 years, starting in September 2016.
