Postdoctoral position for an Arabidopsis molecular geneticist- Jonathan

A two-year post-doctoral position is available for an Arabidopsis
molecular geneticist to identify, isolate and define new White Rust
Resistance (WRR) genes from Arabidopsis accessions that act against
Arabidopsis- and Brassica-infecting Albugo candida races. The
successful applicant will apply RenSeq sequence capture methods
(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27111721) to accelerate
identification of functional WRR gene alleles.
Candidates should be highly motivated individuals with a PhD degree and
a background in molecular biology, bioinformatics and plant/pathogen
interactions. Salary will be within the UEA Research and Analogous staff
Grade 7 scale at between £31,656 and £37,768 p.a; the appointment level
will reflect qualifications, skills, knowledge and achievements.
