The MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBSU) is an internationally renowned research institute of cognitive neuroscience. Onsite facilities include dedicated MRI and MEG scanners, a hearing laboratory, and the developmental research centre suitable for infants through to older children. We are also a stakeholder in a clinical research facility and a new 7T ultra high field MRI scanner on the Addenbrooke's campus in Cambridge.
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scientist to join a European Research Council Proof of Concept Grant Project on "Web-based task for rapid acquisition of subjective judgements". The purpose of this post is to develop and implement behavioural and neuroscientific experiments on object vision and population-code representation in humans. Main duties will include the development and implementation of the scientific programme on web-based system for multi-arrangement task (WebMat). This will include responsibility for the organisational processes needed to advance this work. This position is fixed-term to the end of September 2017, and will be located at the Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, Cambridge.
You will have, or be in the final stages of completing a PhD in neuroscience or a related field, with previous experience in conducting neuroscientific experiments. You should have experience of working in the field of vision and/or decision making. Statistical expertise and the ability to programme in Matlab and Python is essential.
