Hi,
For users of the Roche Cobas 501, we are experiencing a problem with a significant number (~2%) of HbA1c results. The analyser reports the mmol/mol but flags the % as calculation error. Having spoken with Roche it appears this is due to either the Hb or HbA1c absorbance used in the calculation being out of range. Although we can pick these up on CitM, it is a significant number of samples not report.
Has anyone found a way to minimise the number of calc error samples or have you implemented a protocol to refer these samples for measurement via a different method?
Many thanks
Stephen
