Hi Mike,
as for compelling reasons regarding DOC vs DOCX, I think Richard pinned the
major issue and DOCX is the better choice,
since its based in XML and much more aligned with things like the "semantic
web" and a lot of other major trends out there!
nonetheless doesn't Nick have a point when he questions why create editable
documents for the purpose of archives,
as in read only? do you know what are the use cases that support that
requirement?
