Hi all,
Surprised a Pokémon mention hasn't made the group yet, given the hype, so
let me be the first to kick it off - I couldn't help myself, I wrote
something on Pokémon Go and museums:
https://marthasadie.wordpress.com/2016/07/14/pokemon-go-in-your-museum-you-cant-replicate-it-but-you-can-work-with-it/
There is a link round up at the end in case you aren't interested in my
opinion on the whole thing (in which case, fair enough). Anyone see any
other good museum approaches to PG players and the game I can add to the
list?
And anyone want to have a punt on how long Pokémon fever will last? I'm
guessing not long at this scale in it's current form, there isn't that much
substance to the game, fun as the experience is. So I'm not sure it's
something museums should throw too much resource at. But wondering if they
may add other functionality which would make it more compelling in the long
term.
