The University of Derby is seeking to recruit a full time Library Acquisitions and Metadata Librarian to manage the Library’s high performing and dedicated Metadata and Cataloguing team, Acquisitions team and Copyright Clearance Unit.
• You will ensure the delivery of print, monographic and E-Books for the Library’s users, plan and implement process and systems improvements for all Library acquisitions functions, ensure that the Library maintains high-quality records and metadata standards, and develop innovative digitised content delivery services.
• You will have experience of financial management and information resources budget administration, maintaining and reporting accurate financial records for print-based, monographic, electronic and audio-visual materials.
• You will have knowledge and experience of library technologies e.g. library management systems, institutional repositories, digitisation services and E-Resources (including e-books).
• You will be committed to delivering excellent and responsive services for all University of Derby students, including on campus, online and distance learners.
Salary: £30, 823 - £33,403 per annum
(Permanent - Full Time)
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Regular evening/weekend duties are required.
