Hello FSL mailing list users!
I have trouble getting the new FSLeyes to launch on Linux (Ubuntu). Did anybody manage to get it working, or can you tell what I'm doing wrong?
Details:
(1) I downloaded FSLeyes using the link provided after the FSL course in Sicily
(2) I unpacked it on my machine and then launched it using ./fsleyes
(3) First, I got these errors when starting the program:
libGL error: unable to load driver: radeonsi_dri.so
libGL error: driver pointer missing
libGL error: failed to load driver: radeonsi
libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
(4) With some Googling, I found that I needed to set environment variables, so I did using:
export LD_PRELOAD='/usr/$LIB/libstdc++.so.6'
./fsleyes
And the above error message no longer occurred. Now the splash screen appears (yay!).
(5) However, now a new error message appeared:
ERROR main.py 164: initialise - Unable to initialise OpenGL!
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "fsleyes/main.py", line 161, in initialise
File "fsleyes/gl/__init__.py", line 303, in bootstrap
RuntimeError: OpenGL 1.4 or newer is required
And I'm thrown back in to the terminal.
I'm puzzled because OpenGL is installed on my system, as far as I can tell from executing the following command:
$ glxinfo | grep OpenGL
OpenGL vendor string: X.Org
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on AMD BONAIRE
OpenGL core profile version string: 3.3 (Core Profile) Mesa 10.5.9
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 3.30
OpenGL core profile context flags: (none)
OpenGL core profile profile mask: core profile
OpenGL core profile extensions:
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 10.5.9
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
OpenGL context flags: (none)
OpenGL extensions:
Any help or ideas appreciated!
I'm on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Linux kernel 3.19.0-64-generic
