I see that it does a lot few checks than the gridpp tests (e.g. for my CEs gridpp does 21 checks but ARGO does just 7). Admittedly most of these extra tests are or will not be core (MPI/ glexec).
So is it doing enough checks?

Subject: FW: [Tool-admins] ARGO central monitoring
Hi
I am forwarding this announcement from EGI monitoring team about production ARGO deployment. It means that now all grid resources will be tested from ARGO and alarms from ARGO will go to Dashboard. ARGO is also based on Nagios so interface is same as gridppnagios. Sites can create a shortcut for site resources e.g
https://argo-mon.egi.cro-ngi.hr/nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi?hostgroup=site-UKI-SOUTHGRID-OX-HEP&style=overview
gridppnagios will be decommissioned in coming weeks. Bye Bye gridppnagios :(
Cheers
Kashif

Subject: [Tool-admins] ARGO central monitoring
Hello,
we would like to inform you that central ARGO monitoring is now deployed in production.
The EGI infrastructure is being monitored by two monitoring instances that can be found on these addresses:
https://argo-mon.egi.cro-ngi.hr/nagios/
https://mon-egi-central.argo.grnet.gr/nagios/
These are internal addresses and in following days they will become available as:
https://argo-mon.egi.eu/nagios
https://argo-mon2.egi.eu/nagios
Both instances are running the same set of tests and results provided are equivalent.
The central ARGO Web UI provides information from these two instances starting from July 1st.
Operations Portal has been reconfigured today to raise alarms based on information from ARGO central instances.
Results coming NGI SAM instances are no longer consumed by the central ARGO or Operations Portal so NGIs should decommission them following the standard decommissioning procedures.
Keep in mind that we are using new CREAM-CE probes. Documentation for them can be found here:

Best regards
