Hi,
Does anyone actively manage copyright permissions and if so, how is it done? Whenever I want a photo or image for a presentation, I will contact the organisation and ask for permission. So I was recently given permission by the Bank of England to use a photograph from their archive and also from an IT security website.
If I phone an organisation, I will then send them an email as confirmation and then save the email.
But am now wondering whether it might be useful to have a central registry. This could be on the intranet and would help raise awareness of copyright issues and would make it easy to discover permissions.
any thoughts?
thanks + rgds
Danny
