*****New deadline: 26 September 2016***********
Due to summer break, we have extended the deadline for proposals and are also inviting proposals for the 2018 symposium.
Please indicate if you have a preference for the year when making your application.
************
After a successful 2016 symposium at Southbank university, the Journal of Media Practice and the MeCCSA Practice network are calling for proposals to host the 2017 annual symposium.
This one day symposium is an annual event dedicated to the sharing of teaching and research of practice within higher education. All papers accepted for the symposium will be considered for an edition of the Journal in 2018.
Institutions interested in hosting the 2017 or 2018 edition of the symposium are invited to submit proposals.
Proposals should be no more than 2 pages and include:
· Theme of the symposium and accompanying rationale
· Proposed date ( preferably in the month of June)
· Suggested speakers, format, venue and any other logistics
· Information on transport links to the host institution
· Proposed budget detailing costs (e.g. catering, travel, bursaries, speaker fees, ticket costs etc).
· Your preferred year: 2017, 2018 or either.
Please note that the MeCCSA practice network will provide a contribution to part-funding the event however it is expected that the host institution will adequately support the event through securing its own funding.
For examples of previous symposiums please see the reports featured in the 3D newsletter on the MeCCSA Website.
