Ashmolean Website Content and Project Manager

Hello all
The Ashmolean Museum is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, creative
and experienced individual to work with us to develop a new approach for
how a world-class university museum behaves online.
The Ashmolean is embarking on a project to re-develop and re-design its
main website. Reporting to the Director of Public Engagement, the post
holder will be responsible for project managing the Museum's website
project, and for developing imaginative new material and content. You will
be expected to manage relationships and coordinate activity across the
Ashmolean and a number of agencies, to develop and deliver a new design
and a content strategy for the new site, and to create, edit and
commission new material after significant stakeholder consultation. The
post holder will be required to produce and develop imaginative and
original ideas for the website that will lead to an engaging, inspiring
and accessible site experience.
With an understanding of audience centered digital content, the successful
candidate will have experience of project management, auditing large
quantities of content and data, website management and writing for the
web, preferably in a visitor attraction, cultural institution or heritage
site.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build effective professional relationships at all levels and to
influence decision-making, and demonstrate flawless attention to detail.
You will also thrive under pressure, have excellent organisational and
time management abilities, be able to work to tight deadlines and maintain
a flexible approach and attitude.
