Dear UTSG Members,
The 14th Annual Transport Practitioners' Meeting (TPM)<https://www.ptrc-training.co.uk/Events/TPM2016.aspx> taking place 29-30 June 2016 in Nottingham is fast approaching and if you haven't done so already, now is the perfect time to register to ensure you don't miss out on the annual event for all transport planners, highway engineers and urban transport designers.
This year's conference features plenary sessions on Transporting the Future, workshop sessions on both conference days, over 85 paper presentations, a networking drinks reception and annual awards dinner. There's even a Nottingham tram ride and city-wide scavenger hunt on the evening of 28 June for those arriving the night before the start of the conference.
We currently have the following speakers confirmed for the plenary session, in which each speaker will begin with a brief five minute statement, outlining their key priorities for the future of transport. This introduction to the topic will be followed by a panel debate and questions from the audience, with the intention of capturing a consensus of the Transport Planning Industry's perspective on this issue.
Chair: Cllr Nick McDonald, Nottingham City Council's Profile Holder for Jobs, Growth and Transport
Lilian Greenwood MP, MP for Nottingham South and Shadow Secretary of State for Transport
Steve Gooding, Director, RAC Foundation
Amy Harhoff, Director of Strategy and Policy, Transport for the North
