June 8, 2016 - CLOCKSS today announced that eight additional publishers are
working with the archive to preserve their publications for future
generations of researchers.

CLOCKSS, the decentralized preservation archive that ensures that the
digital assets of the community will survive intact, simultaneously
announced the support of fourteen more libraries.

“The American Nuclear Society is pleased to archive our scientific
literature with CLOCKSS,” said Rick Michal, ANS director of Scientific
Publications and Standards. “Partnering with CLOCKSS shows ANS’s commitment
to the ideals of scholarly publishing, which is to secure our published
content for the continued benefit of the scientific community.”

“We at Berrett-Koehler are delighted to have the content in our subscription
business, BKpedia, archived in CLOCKSS. They perform a critical service for
patrons of BKpedia, and we’re grateful to have CLOCKSS as a valued
collaborator in serving our community of readers,” said Johanna Vondeling,
Vice President, International Sales and Business Development.

“The Journal of Law and Health, published by Cleveland-Marshall College of
Law, at Cleveland State University, is very pleased to archive its content
on CLOCKSS. In addition to providing additional content accessibility for
medical-legal researchers, the service provided by CLOCKSS helps the Journal
to be compliant with National Library of Medicine requirements for inclusion
in PubMed/Medline,” said Laura E. Ray, Outreach & Instructional Services
Librarian, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

"As publishers of a new, online-only journal, the archiving services
provided by CLOCKSS are invaluable to reassuring authors and readers that
their work will be permanently accessible and not disappear in the mists of
the internet," added Jesper Sørensen, Editor-in-Chief of Sociological
Science.

"It is vital for us that our publications remain online for future
researchers to use, which is why we are extremely happy to be working with
the CLOCKSS archive. It is important for us, and our researchers to know
that their work is safe and secure for years to come," explained Frederick
Fenter, Executive Editor, Frontiers.

“The CLOCKSS Archive is very pleased to welcome these additional publishers
to our digital preservation system, and to welcome the support of additional
libraries. It is a sign of the shared commitment to long-term access for
researchers, that publishers and libraries continue to cooperate to maintain
and enhance the CLOCKSS Archive,” added CLOCKSS Executive Director Craig Van
Dyck.
