The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre is looking for a wondercrump Archive Assistant to join the Collections department during our exciting year celebrating ‘Roald Dahl 100’: the centenary of Roald Dahl’s birth in 2016 and forwards into 2017.
This post is a trainee position for someone with a good first degree who is looking for a range of experience before undertaking a qualification in Archives and Records Management. It is a part-time, fixed-term post running for 12 months, mid-September 2016 until September 2017.
The post-holder will assist the Archivist with enquiries and research requests using the Museum’s collections which primarily consist of Roald Dahl’s archive of personal and literary papers. Duties will also include cataloguing work, and initiating your own project to assess our audio-visual collection for digitization and transcribing. There will also be the opportunity to attend relevant training courses.
£17,000 per annum, pro-rata, for 22.5 hours (3 days) per week.
Pension: employer contributions at the rate of 6% on gross salary after 3 months.
28 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, pro-rata.
