Dear all,
Kindly circulate information about a two-days interdisciplinary intensive summer school on the use of film in mental health.
Topics will include the use of documentary as a tool in research, education and advocacy; community outreach and engagement using films; narrative and visual storytelling, artistic film-making in mental health, film for medical education and psychoanalysis and cinema.
The summer course will be held at King’s College London (Strand Campus) on the 7-8th July 2016. As the course cost was kept at a minimum and the summer course is for a small group of people, you are recommended to book your place ASAP. For more info and booking go to https://www.kcl.ac.uk/ioppn/news/events/2016/July/Movie-and-documentary-in-mental-health.aspx
During the summer course, a screening of “Breaking the chains” (Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology/The University of Melbourne) will also be held at KCL Strand https://www.kcl.ac.uk/ioppn/news/events/2016/July/Breaking-the-chains.aspx For more info on Breaking the chains visit https://movie-ment.org/breakingthechains/
Thanks in advance and we hope to see you at one or both of these events!
