As part of UK Robotics Week 2016, the Royal Academy of Engineering is hosting an expert panel discussion considering the benefits, ethics and regulation of robotics and autonomous systems. There will also be a Q&A session, so come and join in!
We are delighted that Fiona Fox, Director of the Science Media Centre, will be chairing the discussion, with an exciting panel of experts including:
- Professor Darwin Caldwell FREng - Director, Department of Advanced Robotics, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Italy
- Professor Tony Gillespie FREng - Visiting Professor, UCL
- Dr Natasha McCarthy - Head of Policy, British Academy
- Dr Sandra Wachter - Postdoctoral Researcher on the legal and ethical aspects of technology enabled innovation, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna
- Professor Alan Winfield - Director, Science Communication Unit, UWE; Theme Leader – Swarm Robotics, Bristol Robotics Laboratory
