The Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies at The Open University is seeking high-quality applications for a full time studentship working with Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes. The project will be a qualitative exploration of where people choose to die in Milton Keynes and will focus on the following key issues:-
What influences where people die?; what is the role of the environment and culture of the hospice in Milton Keynes that mean that people choose this over dying at home? or how do issues of culture, ethnicity and other forms of diversity impact on accessing the hospice service or dying differently?
You are likely to have a background in medical sociology, anthropology or critical health psychology and good knowledge in qualitative research methods
The studentship commences October 2016. Applicants must normally reside in the UK for the duration of their registration. Visit the website for further details including application process and maintenance fee amounts.
