The Department of Film Studies at the University of St Andrews seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow for a 12 month period from 1 September 2016 to August 30, 2017.
The primary teaching will include convening and delivering the team-taught honours module, FM4114: ‘Film Genres’; contributing to the MLitt Module FM5001, ‘Theory and Practice of Research in Film Studies’; and contributing to subhonours teaching (including tutorials). The role will also involve leadership and support of student activities – such as screening series – and administrative duties. The successful candidate will show evidence of outstanding teaching, in several areas of the discipline, ability and experience in the performance of administrative tasks, as required, and with the flexibility and range to be able to support the Department in its various teaching activities.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who display innovation in teaching practice, with teaching and/or research expertise in film genre, and with the proven ability to teach across the spectrum of film studies subjects.
