Mike, flagrant economic suicide is also an ideology - one that is
entirely selfish leaving as it forces our children to pay for us living
beyond our means.
During the period of Labour mismanagement the UK debt went from around
£500billion up to £1500billion. I personally calculated that the entire
growth in the economy was due to that borrowing. As everyone knows,
borrowing has to be repaid, and when it is repaid, the economy will
shrink by even more (because there is also interest to pay).
So, for every decade of Labour government borrowing to boom BECAUSE OF
THE SELFISHNESS OF PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR BORROWING we then need far more
than a decade of austerity to pay back the money. Indeed, because so
much spending has ongoing costs, one labour government takes may years
Indeed, even the Tories are failing to pay back the debt. So, as I do
not want my children to be paying for my generation's debt, the only way
I personally can see us balancing the books and repaying this
generations stupidity during the labour years, is by getting out of the
EU, where our economy will thrive and we will have all the money that
used to go to prop up the Eurocrats.
