The Essex Brain-Computer Interfaces and Neural Engineering laboratory of the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering of the University of Essex (UK) is happy to announce two permanent academic positions of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Reader within the school. The lectureships are formally in the general area of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, but, following the rapid expansion and the international visibility of our work in the Biomedical, Neural and Medical engineering (explicitly identified in REF 2014 feedback from the panel as one of the strengths in the school), applicants in the areas associated with the Essex BCI-NE lab will also be most welcome.
Note that Lecturer is equivalent to a US assistant professor and Senior Lecturer/Reader are equivalent to a US associate professor. Readerships are awarded for particularly outstanding achievements in research.
