Hi,
Thanks for that feedback, we have done the same. I was just intrigued to find out if anyone had managed to do anything differently.
Regards,
Lisa-Marie

We compared it to our current meter, we ran patient samples and also looked at precision data using IQC and EQA material

Hi,
Can I ask how other Trusts evaluated the Roche Taidoc ketone meter?
Did you just evaluate against another brand of meter that you were already using?
Kind regards,
Lisa-Marie

Hi Theresa,
We had a look at the Roche Ketone meter, as we have the Roche Glucose meters, but have decided to go with the Nova biomedical Ketone meters. We wanted to keep separate meters for Glucose and Ketone so there is no confusion and also we will be limiting the use of the ketone meters to the areas where it is fully justified.
I was not involved in the decision about the Nova meters but they were considered, by my predecessor, to be the best on the market.

Can I ask if anybody is using the ketone meter that Roche provide? If so, what do you think of it? If you don't use it but have looked at it I would appreciate any feedback.
Also if you have Roche glucose meters and don't use that device, what ketone meters do you use?
We currently use a combined meter but are about to go to Tender and aren't sure whether to stick to a dual meter or not. The reasoning behind your choice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
