No.
Murthy was really, really bad. Not only as crystallographer, but also as
bioinformatician. His models sucked badly, and his way of calculating
SFs from atoms sucked too (his B-factor choices were crazy). It is a
good thing that the smart crystallographers, i.e. the ones on this list,
aren't going to fake things because that would make the VTF's tasks a
lot harder.
Shortly after Piet Gros' group detected the Murthy frauds I made a
Murthy web page: http://swift.cmbi.ru.nl/gv/Murthy/ that shows that
Murthy was (is) really stupid in all directions.
