Dear colleagues
We are considering carrying out public transport surveys in rail stations (at least OD information but also individuals’ socio-economic data as well as trip purpose and access/egress modes) through an interactive app that:
- Tracks the person’s movement using the GPS in their phone;
- Asks transport planning and behaviour questions (as per the old-fashioned paper-based surveys, eg age, gender, purpose, ticket type)
Is there university experience in developing and using these approaches successfully and is there accessible best practice material that you can make available?
Many thanks
