Hello,
I have started a new mailing list for users of the new Digital Content Store (DCS) product, developed by the Copyright Licensing Agency. Potential adopters may be interested in joining the list.
You can subscribe to the list here:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/LIS-CLA-DCS
At present, five institutions are participating in the beta / trial. A sandbox environment is available for other interested HEIs.
This list is to facilitate user dialogue around the product. Please adhere to the standard JISCmail rules when posting.
From the CLA's own site:
"The DCS will be an online repository for higher education.
The DCS has at its core a searchable repository of PDF extracts created by HEIs under the CLA Higher Education Licence and a workflow management tool. Under this licence model, extracts digitised under the CLA Licence will be uploaded to the DCS. Once an extract is uploaded and assigned to a course, students will be able to access the extract as they do now via a secure link to the PDF held in the Content Store.
This service will be included as part of a new CLA Higher Education Licence under the regular rate card, subject to annual inflationary adjustments, and will be optional for HEIs to use."
More information about it is here:
