External Academic
The School of Health and Enterprise at Newcastle College requires an External Academic representative to support the validation process of FdA Children and Young People.
The ideal applicant will have appropriate expertise and knowledge including:
• an relevant degree or equivalent
• experience of developing and delivering Foundation Degrees and/or Hons Degrees
• relevant industry experience
• knowledge of academic standards and requirements for Foundation Degrees
• knowledge of changes and current developments in the sector
The External Academic will be required to review the validation documentation and to act as a panel member during the validation event. The validation event is scheduled for 14 July 2016 at Newcastle College.

External Academics will be paid a nominal fee of £200 for attending the event, plus reasonable travel expenses and subsistence costs. All appointments are subject to meeting the College’s criteria for the appointment of External Academics.
