| Touring Exhibitions Group (TEG) invite you to a professional development seminar
THE ECONOMICS OF TOURING EXHIBITIONS
Tuesday 5 April 2016, 10:30- 16:30
The Museum of English Rural Life, Reading Touring exhibitions can have many benefits, enabling organisations to share costs and resources and exchange knowledge, information and collections. Funded by Arts Council England (ACE), TEG have conducted extensive research into current touring activity in the UK and the touring ambitions of UK museums and galleries. The Economics of Touring Exhibitions seminar is a new one day event informed by this research that explores the economic and partnership models that venues can employ to tour exhibitions in the UK, drawing on recent case studies and examples of good practice. Aimed at managers the seminar will consider the range of ways to structure a touring programme, how to approach building a consortia of venues to work with, and ways to finance and resource touring exhibitions.The seminar is an opportunity to:
- Improve your knowledge of ways to structure a touring exhibition
- Increase your confidence to approach UK partners and venues
- Improve your knowledge of ways to finance and fundraise for touring exhibition
- Share up to date examples of best practice for touring exhibitions
- Meet other professionals interested in producing touring exhibitions

The cost of this one day seminar is £25 for TEG members and £35 for non-members. This includes refreshments on arrival and a light lunch.
