Registration closes next week for the IBS-BIR meeting on meta-analysis to mark the 30th anniversary of the landmark paper "Meta-analysis in clinical trials" by DerSimonian & Laird (1986, Controlled Clinical Trials 7, 177-188). The meeting will set this paper into a modern context. Speakers include Julian Higgins (University of Bristol), Kerry Dwan (University of Liverpool), Richard Riley (Keele University) and Theo Stijnen (LUMC), with Nan Laird and Rebecca DerSimonian attending as special guest discussants.
