1.1 Annual Conference Call for Proposals - deadline extended to 30 March 2016
The call for proposals for this year’s ALT Annual Conference is now open and the deadline has been extended to 30 March 2016.

1.2 Annual Conference Keynotes Announced: Josie Fraser, Ian Livingstone CBE and Lia Commissar
Josie Fraser is a UK-based Social and Educational Technologist. She has worked with government, schools, further education providers and universities, promoting and developing the effective and innovative use of ICT and e-learning policy and practice in the UK and internationally. http://go.alt.ac.uk/1Uc0Sj5

1.3 Membership fees frozen and member benefits enhanced in 2016
The Association's membership fees won't increase in 2016 across any categories of membership. Fees will remain at the 2014 level for the second year running in recognition of the difficult economic circumstances many individuals and member organisations are facing.
We continuously aim to enhance the benefits our members receive. For example the email news digest changed its publication recently from fortnightly to weekly, responding to demand from members for more frequent news and job adverts. Also enhancing ALT's membership offer is the online winter conference at which only members are able to lead sessions and showcase their work.
1.4 CMALT portfolio sharing initiative launched. This month we are launching a new CMALT initiative to enhance the CMALT Holder register https://www.alt.ac.uk/certified-membership/cmalt-holders.

1.5 Call for Expressions of Interest to Chair the #OER17 Conference

2.3 Blended Learning Essentials: Meet up for Digital Champions at Loughborough College

2.4 ALT Scotland: Sharing Stories enablers and drivers for Learning Technology in Scottish Education:7 Jun 2016 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Dundee and Angus.This is an event organised by the ALT Scotland Members Group. 2.5 Playful Learning Conference, Manchester, 13-15 July 2016
ALT Games and Learning SIG (GLSIG) Officers Alex Moseley and Nicola Whitton are co-chairing this conference pitched at the intersection of learning and play for adults. Playful in approach and outlook, yet underpinned by robust research and working practices, it aims to provide a space where teachers, researchers and students can play, learn and think together. A space to meet other playful people and be inspired by talks, workshops, activities and events.

3.1 Revised approach to quality assessment in higher education
HEFCE has today published a revised operating model for quality assessment in higher education in England. It heralds the next phase of the Quality Assessment Review initiated by DELNI, HEFCE and HEFCW in October 2014 as part of each funding body’s statutory responsibility for quality assessment in higher education http://go.alt.ac.uk/1Sj1XlH

6.2 Isis Enterprise, the innovation consulting company at the University of Oxford, is seeking an expert in LMS/VLE best practice at higher education institutions in the Middle East.
