NIHR MSc Studentships in Medical Statistics
London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
Three National Institute for Health Research (NIHR; http://www.nihr.ac.uk) funded studentships are available for the 2016/17 academic year. These studentships have been made available with the aim of building research capacity in medical statistics, and will be targeted towards students who are planning to go on to work in areas of benefit to the National Health Service.
There will be two deadlines for applications - one studentship will be awarded in April and two in June. Early application is recommended. Unsuccessful applicants for the April award will automatically be reconsidered for the June award.
The competition for these studentships is high, and applicants are strongly encouraged to seek alternative funding should their application be unsuccessful.
Award & Eligibility
The studentships are open to UK and EU applicants only and cover all course fees as well as providing a tax free living allowance. The 2016/17 stipend rate has not yet been confirmed. In 2015/16 the stipend rate was £16,057 PA.
