Perhaps everyone knew this - but I didn't!
The complete set of the journal Palaeohistoria (vols 1 - 55/6) is freely available online at:
http://bjournals.ub.rug.nl/palaeohistoria/index
Many congratulations and thanks to the team at Groningen for doing this. Even better, the site has full-text search. For those who don't know this journal, it carries a series of classic papers on European and Near Eastern archaeobotany by the likes of van Zeist, Bottema & Casparie.
A couple of other useful journals are freely available:
Paléorient vols 1-37 1973-2011 http://www.persee.fr/collection/paleo
(for other French journals see http://www.persee.fr/collections?d=102)
Circaea (forerunner of Environmental Archaeology) 1-12, 1983-96 http://www.envarch.net/publications/circaea/
British regional journals and some books http://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/archives/?category=journalsandseries
Best wishes
Mark
