Gridsites move through the Linux versions like a herd. No-one will go
until someone goes, and once someone goes, everybody goes. Since no-one
has gone with 7 (Centos or SL) we are all watching to see what happens.
As a general rule, it's only safe to assume that any particular software
will only work on the current OS baseline generally adopted at the
Gridsites, presently SL6. We should state that somewhere, although as I
say, it is widely assumed to be true.
I hope to try things out on 7, but it's only a wishlist thing at
present.
