Hi,
With our fire service we only do forced unless the results of the forced indicate a need to do the relaxed. I am generally dealing with healthy people so the relaxed test is not necessarily needed.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Spirometry Testing
Hello all
I have recently commenced my post at a manufacturing company where the previous nurse carried out Forced Spirometery only. I have performed both relaxed and Forced for many years so I would like to know what the opinion is of other O H practitioners and if Performing the forced is acceptable legally wise? I have looked on the HSE and search the web but to no avail. Many thanks Shirley
