Region, p. 419 notes in his ³Alphabetical List of Mines² :
"Boscoppa, St. Austell. There are said to be twelve lodes in this sett,
which lies to the north of Wheal Eliza. 27 tons of tin were sold from here
from 1872 to 1876, mostly from above adit.²

Can anyone shed any light on the engine house at Boscoppa Mine, near St.
Austell in Cornwall - what it was, when it was erected, or who built it,
etc? If anyone has any knowledge of this engine and/or the mine I would
